Testimonials

“I have had the blessing of having the opportunity to count on the Women’s Center. It is proof that by uniting, reaching for the same goals, one can achieve the greater good in everyone. I thank all those who have made possible this wonderful opportunity to get my life on track. As a mother of four children, I will never forget the help, as I am forming them to be good citizens. Thank you all for the attention and help. God says, ‘help the poor’, and you did!”

I never ever thought I would have my life back. I cannot say thank you enough. I will never forget how being there changed me.

Niskol Deo CEO of Women-rights

“Courage…is doing what you must, when doing what you must is the hardest thing of all.” Three weeks into my 2 month stay at the “Safe House”, otherwise known as “Shelter for Battered Women”, I ran across this quote. And cried. Buckets. So, how is it that this “established”, “professional” Stockton girl came to the point where she had to leave her home in the middle of the night with her two children forever? (Pause) I don’t know. I’ll have get back to you when I figure that one out.

Empowerment

Women have the right to be free from violence, harassment and discrimination and removing the barriers of an unsafe environment can help women fulfil their potential as individuals and as contributors to work, communities and economies.

Importance of Women’s Education

Women’s education is critical to the country’s entire development. It’s similar to an effective medicine that may know how to cure a patient and recover their health. A well-educated lady is capable of managing both her personal and professional lives. The physical and intellectual growth of the child is the moral goal of education. Education’s true objective is to provide students with “full knowledge” or “greater information.” A well-educated woman provides the skills, knowledge, and self-assurance necessary to be a better mom, worker, and citizen. A well-educated woman will also be more productive and well-paid at work. Indeed, the return on investment in education is often higher for women than for males.
